One of the biggest worries I hear from my brides is “What if if rains on my wedding day??”
For Jourdan & Bryan, this was definitely the case. The forecast was not looking the best for the 23rd of September, but even though it planned to rain all day, I reassured her that they would still receive beautiful pictures! I’ve done many rainy weddings in the past and know all the tricks to making the day look bright and colorful despite it being a dark and cloudy day. A big part of this is having light backgrounds and pops of color like colorful bouquets!
We took a large majority of our photos under and awning with the white wood as our backdrop, which made the photos pop and appear bright despite the rain and clouds. The florals, done by The Twisted Tulip, were also very colorful and beautifully arranged, which allowed my bright and colorful editing style to thrive, again despite it being dreary weather.
The last note I will share, particularly for my future brides and grooms, is to not be afraid to grab a clear umbrella (which I provide) and get photos in the rain! They will turn out beautifully and you won’t get as wet as you think! Check out some of our umbrella photos below for encouragement!
Thanks for reading and enjoy the sneak peeks of this beautiful couple! 🙂
