What to bring to your Graduation Photoshoot!

Starting the end of March through the second week of May each spring in Blacksburg, Virginia I get to meet so many amazing Virginia Tech graduates and provide celebratory photos for each of them! Sometimes I get to do groups of friends, couples, siblings, sororities, and even include parents in the photoshoot! The list of things to bring isn’t long, but important in making sure we get photos that capture your personality and also the photos mom & dad love!

The definite items to bring would include:

  1. Cap (with tassel) & Gown
  2. Stole
  3. Any Chords you may have
  4. Honors Sash
  5. Class Ring

Some options to consider bringing depending on your personality and style would include:

  1. Chamapaign bottle or 2 to pop
  2. Confetti to throw or pop
  3. Football jersey for photos at the stadium
  4. White Dress for girls under your robe
  5. Button up shirt, tie, slacks for guys under your robe
  6. Optional additional shirt/outfit for a third look
  7. Bring friend(s) to take photos with you! Even if they’re not graduating, if you spent much of your time with them, you’ll want them in a few photos!

Whatever you choose, make sure you bring things relevant to your time at Virginia Tech and want to remember!
